VNAC Version 5 includes support for PIPEs
VitalSigns for Network Automation and Control, the versatile and low-cost replacement for NetMaster®, has several new improvements:
- PIPEs support: PIPEs are essentially a library of REXX execs for filtering, parsing, and processing messages. They make it easy to create execs that will automatically revise, route, and respond to the system messages captured by VNAC message listeners.
- DOM support: Delete operator-message support is used in a CLIST to remove a WTO or WTOR from one or more consoles.
- Alias name translation: Map alias and real LU names and the corresponding networks.

VNAC and VIP Reduce Mainframe Costs
VNAC greatly simplifies z/OS automation and control. It monitors consoles and messages throughout a sysplex, and responds with precisely the right system commands and custom REXX execs to keep everything running smoothly.
VIP monitors all the IP traffic among your z/OS TCPIP stacks. When performance slips below the standards you’ve set, it sends alerts to email addresses, to z/OS consoles, and/or to VNAC automation.
Replace legacy mainframe network and system monitors with VNAC! Also, consider pairing VNAC with VIP to realize all their potential.
